INTRODUCTION: Welcome to the online Dependent Tuition Waiver application. Completing the form is quick and easy, however, it’s important that you read this introduction carefully.
For eligible* University of Connecticut employees, a waiver of tuition is extended to their dependent children who are matriculated and enrolled undergraduate students at UConn. Waivers apply to the Fall and Spring semesters only and employees who desire the waiver must complete this form each semester. Please remember that tuition waivers waive only the tuition; the student remains responsible for any non-tuition fees and charges.
ELIGIBILITY: Employees must be employed at a minimum 50% level. The waiver will be prorated to the percent of employment at or above 50%. The student must be the dependent child of an eligible University employee as defined by the IRS rules of dependency. If the dependent’s surname differs from the University employee’s surname, a brief explanation must be provided in the “Comments” section of the workflow form.
AVAILABILITY: You can submit the waiver application for the Fall 2017 semester.
IMPORTANT: If your child is a newly admitted student, you will not be able to complete a waiver request until after 05/12/2017 .
Please note that you will need your child’s UConn Student ID Number to begin this application.
